Initial Enrollment Period

Many people first become eligible around age 65. Your initial timing can depend on your birthday, employment coverage, disability status, or other factors.

Annual Election Period

The Annual Election Period is commonly used to review or change Medicare Advantage and Part D coverage for the next plan year.

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period

People already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan may have an opportunity to make certain changes during this period.

Special Enrollment Periods

Some life events may create a Special Enrollment Period, such as moving, losing certain coverage, entering or leaving an institution, or gaining/losing certain assistance. Rules vary, so confirm eligibility before making a change.

Important: A licensed insurance agent can help review general options, but official eligibility and enrollment rules should be verified through Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or Social Security where applicable.
